2/9/2025 Happy Chinese New Year! It’s the year of the snake and we held a party for everyone to celebrate together.
This year we had a massive showing of people to eat, celebrate, and play games. Everyone worked up an appetite with a wide assortment of activities.
Since there were so many people, many of our party goers had to take turns in order for our games to stay organized. Games that were included were Chinese jump rope, musical chairs, tug of war, balloon fight, and more. The kids and parents both wrapped dumplings and did calligraphy.
As our guests enjoyed partaking in the international potluck, they were given Chinese New Year related quiz questions to answer. After the meal, we handed out red envelopes and made a lot of noise with our unique approach towards Chinese firecrackers.
We handed out sparklers to everyone to play with before finishing the party. Everyone had plenty of fun and some didn’t want the party to end.
We look forward to next Chinese New Year!
The year of the horse!
