Our fifth week of Kungfu at Enlighten Summer Camp now reaches its conclusion.
This week had a total of 6 students with a combination of 3 girls and 3 boys. Two of the boys were brothers with very limited English understanding. It’s proof that Kungfu is an art that transcends language.
Although Kungfu is a practice that transcends language, that’s not to say it’s not without its challenges. For much of the more detailed movements and games, the TAs helped translate whenever necessary.
This week’s main project was the Kungfu Flag. Some students may have been a little too small for the flags, but they gradually got more used to wielding the flags. Many of the flag movements were also simplified to match their ages and levels.
This week flew by quickly. May the fun days continue.
