My Kungfu Journey by Jillian & Audrey E.

Student Showcase We want to bring attention to two very talented students. These students are Audrey and Jillian. Two sisters who are very diligent in their pursuit of Kungfu and athleticism. It’s not a far cry to say that these girls have been pushing the boundaries of intermediate level martial arts bordering into the advanced level. In their class, they’re often seen as role models for others to compete with and strive towards. For these two, there are no good or bad days. While some students have days where they’re in peak condition and days when they are unable to lift a thumb, these sisters have always been consistent in the quality of their performance. In the past they would look enviously onto other students for having superior talent and physical ability. Now, they’re often the subject of envy among others for their own physical acuity. This means that rather than talent, they have built up a strong foundation through sheer their own hard work and devotion to the art. For many students, whenever the topic of aerials and acrobatics are mentioned, these two will be the first ones to come to mind. This is how strong and impactful the very first aerial of this generation of students was. We always enjoy seeing these sisters push themselves. Great job and keep doing what you do best!

My Kung Fu Journey                                                        Audrey E

When I first started Kung Fu classes I was able to learn discipline and hard work to a much higher standard than before. The forms helped me with body control, balance, memory, strength, etc. Outside of Kung Fu, I found that these skills that were taught in class would  prove to be very useful in life. As I progressed through belt levels, I was able to deeply understand the importance of power and how to use your voice and control your movements throughout forms. I learned many self defense movements which I think are very important to know and have in case you ever need to protect yourself. Kung Fu is important to me and I hope to continue to use these skills and knowledge later in life. Kung Fu has taught me so much and I am very grateful for this journey.

My Kung Fu Journey                                                       Jillian E

My journey through kung Fu was a difficult challenge, one that I was not sure I would be ready to face, but without it, I wouldn't be the person I am today. Kung Fu taught me power, discipline, balance and so much more. This will also help me outside of kung Fu, in many situations. There were so many things that made me feel like I could fly. Others made me feel extremely nervous, but the encouragement I got from these wonderful coaches, made me want to push through and strive for more. Over the past few years, Shifu has said many important things, and every single one of them, I listened with full attention. I did that because I wanted to improve so much, and the fact that they were able to teach me that, is why I am so grateful for this Kung Fu experience.
