SKZ 2023 Chinese New Year Dumpling Party (Lantern Festival Celebrations!!!)
This year’s Chinese New Year Dumpling Party was a great success. We’d like to thank all those who volunteered to help at our 16th Annual CNY Potluck Party!
Student volunteers helped with registration and miscellaneous tasks, parents helped with cooking, safety and clean up. With your participation and assistance, our party was a huge success. This is the first time we have been able to have our annual party in three years since COVID-19. We have been wanting to share our culture with the community around us but have had issues with safety, social distancing and time management.
We’re glad that we’re finally able to share a little bit of our culture with the children of the next generation. SKZ staff and TA’s spent a lot of time designing the schedule, games and activities for all to enjoy. We worked hard to see smiles on everyone’s faces. The children were thoroughly able to enjoy themselves at this event with some not wanting to go home. Many parents were also happy to see the performance and activities that their kids took part in. Some took part in the activities as well.
