Kung Fu has inspired me in more ways than one, but it mainly helped me socially. Because of Kung Fu, I have become more social with people all around me, I became more of an independent person, and I also became more aware of everyone around me.

When I started Kung Fu for the first time, I was in 2nd grade, and the only people that I had ever spoken to, were people I had known my whole life, from school. But joining Kung Fu made me meet new people outside of my school and helped me gain the confidence to talk to them. I used to only hang out with my friend group, and that was it, so when I joined I had to open myself up to new people. Kung Fu class got me to make new friends.

When joining Kung Fu, I was young and I would rely on my parents for help and guidance all the time, but upon joining Kung Fu I became more of an independent person. I now help myself with forms that I need help on, and I try to figure it out on my own before asking for help from others. Kung Fu has made me an all around better person.

I wasn't always aware of all the people around me, but Kung Fu made me realize that not everyone has good intentions and that we have to look out for ourselves and make sure that we are always safe. By joining Kung Fu, I was shown many ways to protect myself when I am by myself, or even with others. I now know many ways to fight back, and keep myself safe.

Kung Fu has made me a better person, and made me who I am today. It greatly affected my social life, and my mind. Without Kung Fu, I wouldn't be as strong and independent as I am now.
