My name is Yash, and I'm a freshman at Leland High School testing for the SKZ black belt. I've been doing Kungfu for just over 5 years.
Over the years, Kungfu has helped all of us develop many habits that have had lots of benefits in our daily lives.
For example, constant training and conditioning have helped us all develop a sense of tolerance for pain and fatigue. I am less affected by injuries or soreness.
This also helps my overall energy, as I can work for longer without feeling fatigued. Habits like these, such as practice and stretching habits, have been continually developed throughout my kung fu journey and will continue to grow in the future.
Speaking of my journey, I have a lot of people to thank. First, thanks to my parents for diligently driving me back and forth whenever I need it. Next, thanks to Shifu Andy and Shifu Vincent for supporting me throughout and helping me improve and grow as an athlete and a person, and last but not least, thank you to each and every person I've ever trained or practiced with.
I am a product of all the people who have helped me train and succeed as a result of 5 years of hard work. The black belt is just the beginning, and there's no telling where this journey will take me next.
Thank you.
